Answers to questions people actually asked — not questions you wish they’d ask. Diátaxis mode: reference, in question form.

Rules for this template

• Source questions from real tickets, chats, and survey answers — see ../question-craft.md for collecting them well.
• The answer’s first sentence IS the answer; never make the reader read to the end for it.
• An answer that needs steps is a how-to wearing an FAQ costume — write the how-to and link it.
• Retire questions nobody asks anymore; an FAQ is a living doc, not an archive.
• Group under ## theme headings once you pass ten questions.
• The opening is one line, not a full two-person story; skip the useful ending too, unless one answer opened with a real story worth closing.
• Cast: always Jack (the path with friction) and Jill (the path that works) — see ../personas.md.
• Reminders: story, own line per person · useful ending.
• Format: short paragraphs · lists and tables · diagram + “what to notice”.
