User Survey Template

A short survey that trades ratings for stories. Built on ../question-craft.md — read it before editing the questions.

Rules for this template

  • One question per question — never “was it fast and clear?”.
  • Concrete beats abstract: “the last time” beats “how often”.
  • Branch when you can: the answer to one question should shape the next.
  • Put the single rating at the end, after the stories — never open with it.
  • Cast: always Jack (the path with friction) and Jill (the path that works) — see ../personas.md.
  • Reminders: story, own line per person · useful ending.
  • Format: short paragraphs · lists and tables · diagram + “what to notice”.
